Chapter 24: Transformation geometry

24.1 Introduction

In this section, we will revise plotting points on the Cartesian plane. We will learn how to transform points and shapes using transformations, such as translating a triangle or rotating a square. We will also look at how we enlarge or reduce the size of a shape.

The three milk cartons are an example of an enlargement or reduction transformation. They are different sizes, but their shapes are exactly the same.
